Licorice root comes from a flowering plant called Glycyrrhiza glabra that grows in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. It has been used as a medicinal herb for thousands of years. Licorice root has a number of skincare and hair care benefits. A brilliant inclusion to a skincare regime, licorice has a gentle brightening and soothing action. Used in cleansers, serums, moisturizers and spot treatments, it helps fade sun damage and hyper-pigmentation safely for all skin tones, while blocking melanin production to prevent more from forming.

Uses in Cosmetics, Soap, Ect.: 

1. Licorice root powder can be used as a natural, colorant in soap and other cosmetic products.  It will need to be wetted with vegetable glycerin prior to adding to formulas to allow for better dispersion.
2. Licorice root powder can be used in scrubs to provide a natural color, and to nourish the skin with an abundance of vitamins and minerals.
3. Licorice root powder can be used lotions, creams, and ointments.
4. Licorice root powder can be used in facial masks.
5. Licorice root powder can be used shampoo and conditioner formulas.
6. Licorice root powder can be used in facial toner recipes.
7. Licorice root powder can be added to bath bomb recipes.
8. Licorice root powder can be infused in massage oils.
