Licorice extract may also help diminish the appearance of dark under-eye circles, discoloration and age spots. A natural skin lightening alternative to chemical hydroquinone, licorice extract contains an active called glabridin, which inhibits tyrosinase, the enzyme that causes pigmentation in response to sun exposure.

For cold processes, mix with the aqueous phase. In cold/hot processes, add during the cooling phase when your formulation has reached 40°C or lower.

Typical Usage Rate: 2 – 5%
