Almond Butter

Almond Butter is obtained from the dried kernels of the almond tree, Prunus amygdalus or communis by cold pressing and subsequent refining, then it is blended with pure Shea Stearine.

Use in Cosmetics

Sweet Almond Butter is used as an emollient and carrier in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry, because it is a stable vegetable butter with a neutral taste and odour. Because of its very high content of the monounsaturated oleic acid and relatively high content of natural antioxidants Almond Butter has good oxidation stability. It has excellent cold weather stability. It has good occlusive properties, enabling it to act as a moistening agent by preventing excessive loss of moisture through the epidermis. Almond Butter is also used a valuable confectionery ingredient in the food industry.

Storage

Keep in a cool (preferably below 5 to 10°C, the cooler the better), dark and dry store-room.

Shelf Life

Under optimal storage conditions, in original unopened drums/containers, minimum two years.
